What can you expect from us
EMA Partners South Africa conducts retained Executive Search
for Senior Executive positions. We support you as a candidate
for such a position to the best of our ability, during and after
the search process. This means that our consultants communicate
frequently and keep you informed of the status and developments
affecting the search.
How we work
When EMA Partners contacts you for the purpose of ascertaining
your interest in a particular position, we will invite you for
a personal interview. This is in order to get a full understanding
of your personal qualifications, career interests and most important
to find out in which culture you fit best.
We will extensively inform you about the position, our client
organization and corporate culture. Together we will make the
decision whether to proceed within the process. If we go forward
with the search process, we will support you as you prepare
for client interviews, review your resume and assist with travel
arrangements. For final candidates, we negotiate the compensation
package and assist with any relocation arrangements if necessary.
During the first year of employment, we will have personal discussions
with you. This offers you the opportunity to reflect on how
you are experiencing the new firm, and job.
Reference check
Reference checking is part of our search process. It is a way
to increase our understanding of your skills and experience
by comments, orally or written, from current and past employers.
Our intention is to build up a comprehensive picture of you
as candidate for the position and to validate or challenge the
conclusions that we initially had reached.
We usually conduct reference checks both in the preliminary
stage of a search and, more comprehensively, in the final stage
of a search process at the moment that you become the favoured
candidate. References provided by you will not be contacted
without your knowledge and agreement.
